Illustration idea developed with Kim Carney to accompany a story about getting through the holidays with cancer. We were surprised to discover that the ‘cancer ribbon as candy cane’ concept didn’t exist in any form on any of the stock photo sites, so we created our own — quickly — from two separate image files. Kim turned this in less than two hours from idea to post.
